About the position
Job Title: Senior Front-End Engineer
Hire Resolves client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Front-End Engineer to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape. As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and implementing front-end development projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the technical direction of their applications.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the front-end development of web applications and interfaces
- Collaborate with designers and back-end engineers to implement front-end solutions that are cohesive and user-friendly
- Develop reusable code and libraries for future use
- Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in front-end development
- Mentor and coach junior front-end engineers
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in front-end development
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Proficiency in front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or [URL Removed] with responsive design and mobile-first development
- Strong understanding of web performance optimisation techniques
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
